On April 22nd the world with celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. We thought we needed to help mark the occasion by releasing a new beer with an environmental purpose. As a company we have been looking for a way to reduce our impact on the environment and our reliance on single use plastics in particular.
A couple of years back a small brewery out of Florida made big news when they invented a process to make six pack rings that are completely biodegradable out of the spent grain from the brewing process. It made national news you may have seen the story as it went viral. We are proud to say that we are going to be one of the first breweries in OH to use these innovative six packs. We are also announcing a new partnership with the local chapter of a nationally known non-profit organization called The Surfrider Foundation. If you’re not familiar with the Surfrider Foundation it is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the Oceans, the Great Lakes their waves and beaches. They help insure our largest natural resource will remain Healthy, have clean water, they help with coastline preservation and keeping our beaches accessible for the next generation.

We will continue to partner with the Surfrider Foundation for local conservation efforts, beach cleanups and other social meetups throughout the summer to drive awareness and help give back. Let’s face it 90% of our product is made of water and it is vital to all of our communities that we have clean water.
