A Toast to International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day traces back to the early 1900s, born from labor movements where women stood up for better pay, safer working conditions, and the right to vote. In 1910, a global day recognizing women’s achievements was proposed. By 1911, more than a million people across Europe were rallying in support.
Over a century later, March 8 has become a worldwide celebration of social, economic, and cultural achievements of women. It is both a celebration and a call to continue building equity across every industry, including craft beer.
Why Pink Boots Society?
A portion of Pink Rajah proceeds will benefit the Pink Boots Society, an international nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by brewer Teri Fahrendorf.
Their mission is simple and powerful: to assist, inspire, and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the fermented and alcoholic beverage industry through education and scholarship.
